Kolos Cement Partners with Titan Supermarket and Caterfly in “No to Poverty and Zero Hunger” Initiative

In a concerted effort to alleviate food scarcity in vulnerable communities, Kolos Cement Ltd. through its Batir Agir foundation has launched the “No to Poverty and Zero Hunger” initiative in collaboration with Titan Supermarket and logistics partner Caterfly. The campaign facilitated the distribution of 440 essential food packs across multiple regions in Mauritius, including Camp Chapelon, Ste Croix, Roche Bois, Tranquebar, Pointe aux Sables, Baie du Tombeau, and Cassis.

The initiative was implemented through partnerships with NGOs to ensure effective and targeted delivery. Kolos worked with MKids Association in Camp Chapelon, Future Hope Mauritius in Ste Croix, Atelier MOZ’ar in Roche Bois, and Caritas and SAFIRE, creating an efficient supply chain that brought immediate relief to 500 families facing food scarcity.

“True corporate responsibility means addressing fundamental human needs within our communities,” said Ciany Loulié, Sales & Marketing Manager and responsible for CSR initiatives at Kolos Cement Ltd. “This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities surrounding our Mer Rouge operations fostering solidarity, well-being, and inclusion. We are grateful to our partners, and the dedicated NGOs for their on-the-ground support, which made this effort possible.”

The coordinated operation demonstrated how strategic partnerships can effectively address urgent community needs while supporting Sustainable Development Goals.

The “No to Poverty and Zero Hunger” campaign reinforces Kolos Cement’s strategic focus on sustainable community development and its ongoing mission to contribute meaningfully to the social fabric of Mauritius through Batir Agir foundation.
