Kolos World Cup 2022: A Day of Football and Fun for Employees

Kolos Cement Ltd embraced the World Cup spirit by hosting a Football & Fun Day on Sunday, 20 November 2022, at the Racing Club in Trianon. The event brought together clients, employees, and their families with nearly 300 participants in total to strengthen bonds with partners who contribute daily to Kolos’ success.
The programme included a football tournament, fun activities for children, a PlayStation corner, and live performances by local artists Mr Love and Jerry and The Resistance. The highlight of the day was an exciting exhibition match featuring legendary Mauritian football players.
The football tournament kicked off with matches between hardware store teams and Gamma Group employees. Sixteen hardware stores formed squads of 9–10 players each, while Gamma Group entities competed in a corporate league, where Gamma Construction Ltd emerged victorious. Women also took the spotlight in a match between Kolos and Lottotech teams.
Adding to the excitement, Kolos surprised guests with a friendly match between two legendary teams, Fire Brigade and Sunrise FC, which ended in a thrilling 4–3 win for Sunrise FC veterans.
The day ended with smiles all around, as participants and their families left with lasting memories, proof that Kolos scored a winning goal both on and off the field.
