LONASE Delegation visits Lottotech to strengthen innovation and responsible gaming

In a significant step toward regional collaboration and excellence in lottery operations, a high-level delegation from LONASE (La Loterie Nationale Sénégalaise) visited Lottotech on December 4, 2025 for an in-depth benchmarking mission.

The visit led by Dr. Toussaint Manga, General Manager of LONASE, provided a comprehensive overview of Lottotech’s operational infrastructure, distribution models and governance frameworks. During the programme, the delegation toured key departments, engaged with executive leadership and observed how Lottotech seamlessly integrates physical retail networks with digital tools to deliver a diverse and responsible gaming experience to players across Mauritius.

A focal point of discussion was responsible gaming, reflecting Lottotech’s achievement of Level 4 certification, recognised as a leading standard in ethical play and player protection. LONASE representatives highlighted responsible gaming practices and risk monitoring systems as valuable takeaways that will inform strategic enhancements to their own operations.

This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to operational excellence, modernisation and ethical standards in the African lottery sector. The insights gained are expected to support LONASE’s ongoing transformation, promoting stronger engagement with players, improved technology deployment and enhanced revenue outcomes that contribute to socio-economic development.

Lottotech’s hosting of the LONASE delegation also reaffirms Mauritius’s position as a trusted hub for knowledge exchange and best practices in regulated gaming. Both organisations expressed optimism about future opportunities for deeper cooperation, including potential partnerships to drive innovation and elevate industry standards across the region.
