At a time when Mauritius is facing an acute shortage of several critical blood groups, Lottotech partnered with the National Blood Transfusion Service to host a blood donation drive in support of hospitals and patients across the country.
The initiative took place at Lottotech’s premises in Ebène, where a dedicated mobile blood collection caravan was deployed to enable employees and the public to donate safely and efficiently throughout the day. The operation was conducted under the full medical and logistical supervision of the National Blood Transfusion Service, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
According to the National Blood Bank, the drive was organized at a particularly critical moment, with shortages affecting several blood groups nationwide. Through this initiative, Lottotech helped contribute to an expected collection of more than 75 pints of blood, a resource that will directly support patients requiring urgent medical treatment, surgeries and emergency care across Mauritius.
In a message addressed to Lottotech, the National Blood Transfusion Service recognised the company’s timely intervention and strong sense of social responsibility, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in safeguarding lives and supporting the country’s healthcare system.
