The job incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Group FC and Deputy CFO for the timely and accurate submission of statutory and management reporting throughout the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities as Finance Manager shall include, but shall not be restricted to the followings:

  1. To prepare and take primary responsibility of monthly management accounts of Gamma Civic Ltd and Gamma Civic managed subsidiaries within prescribed time limit;
  2. To produce high-quality and robust financial, management and regulatory reporting with strict adherence to Company policies and timetables;
  3. To prepare comprehensive board packs containing financial reports, analysis, and other relevant information for presentation to the board of directors.
  4. To assist the Group FC and Deputy CFO in their day-to-day activities;
  5. To provide support and guidance to the Group FC and Deputy CFO on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications for the Group;
  6. To prepare budgets and forecasts of Gamma Civic Ltd and managed subsidiaries, and assist Group FC and Deputy CFO in the consolidation exercise;
  7. To monitor performance against forecasts and budgets;
  8. To oversee the cash flow, capital & treasury requirements of Gamma Civic Ltd, Gamma Civic managed subsidiaries, taking into consideration risk and liquidity;
  9. To review payments of the Gamma Civic Ltd, Gamma Civic managed subsidiaries and the associate;
  10. To participate and enable the Group’s financial reporting obligations, in the preparation of the full year and quarterly consolidated accounts including the statutory and abridged reporting;
  11. To prepare audit schedules and be the point of contact for all technical accounting advice across the business while leading and coordinating the annual external auditing process;
  12. To ensure that all financial and accounting processes, procedures and policies of the Company are adhered to and reviewed on an as and when required basis;
  13. To collaborate, design, implement and document finance system, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement;
  14. To co-ordinate the activities of all team members under your responsibility and ensure full responsibility and accountability of each team member;
  15. To assist the Group FC and Deputy CFO in dealing with MRA & FSC frequently for related matters including monthly, quarterly and annual returns:
    • The accuracy and timely submission of monthly VAT return, NPS and PAYE returns and TDS return.
    • Prepare and submit quarterly APS returns.
    • Prepare and submit annual Corporate Tax return.
  16. To lead, motivate, mentor and participate in the development of a talented finance team; and
  17. To perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned to you by Management.
Behavioral Competencies & Required Skills
  • Conversant with Microsoft office tools, especially Excel, Power point and ERP; experience in Oracle software will be an advantage
  • Sound and up to date knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Sound knowledge of statutory accounting & financial requirements, including taxation policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organization and planning skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Strong analytical mind with a keen eye to detail
Candidate Profile
  • A university degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. A master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Professional qualifications such as Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) or related.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a finance management role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Experience in financial management and reporting Statutory Financial Statements.
