Fahmida Jeerooburkhan worked as an in-house lawyer for Gamma Civic Ltd as from July 1999 prior to her appointment as Managing Director of Gamma Corporate Services in July 2015,  Before this, she worked in the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan QC in a private practice, before serving as a District Magistrate.

She has a DEUG in law and an LLB (Hons). In October 2019, she was awarded the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma.
